Project
The Rose Lithium-Tantalum project is located in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region of Québec, about 40 km north of the village of Nemaska, and is 100 % owned by Critical Elements. A feasibility study filed in August 2023 under NI 43-101 reports an after-tax net present value (NPV) of US$2.2 billion at an 8 % discount rate and an after-tax internal rate of return (IRR) of 65.7 %. The study assumes a 17-year mine life and probable reserves of 26.3 million tonnes at an average grade of 0.87 % Li2O and 138 ppm Ta2O5. Planned output includes chemical-grade and technical-grade spodumene concentrate as well as tantalum concentrate.
